This photo was taken on August 11, 2010 inPakoealaman, Yogyakarta, DIY, ID, using a Nikon D90.
Near Beringharjo Market, Yogyakarta, Central Java, Indonesia.
This lady and her girlfriends watched me as I worked my way through the throng of people adjecent to the market. There was quite a crowd at the time - maybe 50 people - and my prescence caused a bit of a stir, what with Indo folks loving to mug for the camera and all. That being said, this lady took a little coaxing to agree to a portrait.
She teased me pretty good, though. She told me over and over that she wanted money for the shot. In the end I broke down and handed her roughly 10,000 rupiah and fired away. I showed her the frames, she looked to her friend for approval then winked at me and shoved the cash back into my front pocket. Her friends had a good laugh at that.
